Summer Camp : UNSTOPPABLE

This weekend, I am not going home to my Mom (praise God for sisters!) because of this...

This big church event is keeping me busy ...15 days to go and we're off to Cebu (Southern part of the Philippines ). Actually, I am already behind the schedule- I still have tons of stuff to finish but it's okay..I will keep calm and just do it :)

Eto ang laman ng puso ko

Thanks Carmel for that small talk. At least I was able to share what I am feeling inside and I know you somehow understood.

Siempre, hindi ko batid ang mga nasa puso nila, tatandaan ko nalang each one of us is accountable to God.

Life has to go on for us here.

Change-inevitable, painful pero I know acceptable.

Sana sa pagtulog ko, I comfort ako ng Lord at I assure Niya sa akin na this is HIS will.

On cleaning and cash advance

I’ve been cleaning, this started last Tuesday. And since today is Saturday I found myself again going through the cabinets and cleaning, I got two full plastics bags of clothes that we are no longer using, and because of that I thought of having another garage sale again for our fishnets scholars. I have to remind myself also to write a separate entry about our new scholars, or might as well update the fishnets blog.

It’s tiring but it’s satisfying, Our room is not that big but I find it hard to finish cleaning it on one day, maybe because I woke up late today so my day started late too. Should I blame my late blogging last night?

For the meantime, for those of you are in need of cash, oh well, I know we all do, try visiting this site which I browsed just a while ago, I don’t think I’m ready to get another pay day cash advance just right now but just in case. They offer faxless payday loan so it is hassle free, and yes, you can apply online. No need to go to the bank because if you got approved they’ll deposit the cash into your bank account. So next time you find your self in dire need of funds or you need to do cash advance you know what to do.

Our day is not yet over here in my side of the world, although it’s quarter to eight PM already, the worship team practice is yet to start so I have to go down now. I’ll blog again later,I think I’m beginning to enjoy late night blogging huh?

See you all later!

A box of goodies

This came from Grace, a N@wie sister who saw my blog post about the home for the aged, she contacted me thru e-mail and then she sent this box. Thanks again Grace!
It contains stuff toys whch we will distribute on a special occasion on July 19 as we will celebrate birthdays of those kids from our Batang Pagasa ministry. Those kids never had any birthday celebration so I'm sure it will be lots of fun.

There are also soaps and blankets which we will give out sa home for the aged, I think Ate Nida (that's her) the Housewives ministry leader scheduled it on September, we are still collecting additonal items such as more toiletries for the oldies. So if you find them in your heart and you wanna share the blessing..you're all welcome. :)

Irene

We went to see Irene who is now living with my sister in Bulacan last week end. I know, I have not mentioned anything about her here except for her graduation last April. She was actually one of our high school scholars last year. And she was supposed to take up a 2 year course in HRM but…

I was reminded of what happened to her last Saturday night after watching Imbestigador.

And I can’t help but be sad. Sad that she was force to put off her dreams of finishing college. But as I told her, she can still go for her dreams right after all these things.

She was a sweet girl, have known her for almost 4 years now. I always run to her when I needed help, she does our laundry sometimes, cook food when I am so lazy to do so, most of the time she was just there for us, helping us in anyway she can.

Now she badly needs help, she badly needs us, and though she is safe and we are assured that she’s in good hands she is still lonely and feels alone most of the time.

“Irene, we will always be here for you, always bear in mind that a lot of your friends do care and love you, you will get through this. Hang in there, be strong and always remember that God knows what’s best for you and for that little one!”

See you again soon!

late blogging

yes, it's midnight and I'm still here, hoping and trying to get some opps and of course bloghopping to the max. Thanks Alex for fixing the internet in our very own room. :)

While bloghopping, my mind also wander to some serious thoughts of leaving my present job now, I told hubby about that yelling incident tis morning and I can say he's just so mad and told me again for the nth time to just quit and move on to what God has planned for us.

I am about to give up- I know, right now I'm already at the edge and I don't know if I could still wait till December comes. It's a shame that I don't wanna give up this job because of the finacial leeway it is giving me now, of course this is currently as they say the hardest times in the country so going out of work is such a crazy idea.

But then, obedience to God is better than anything else. I am very well aware of that.

I'm still afraid of not having cash to buy our basic necessities, of not having enough food on the table, of not ahving extra money to see a movie, to relax or to dine out. I have to admit that and with fear inside me I know I am going to trust my Lord even more and cling to HIS promises even more.

TRUSTING HIM is the key word here. I hope I can learn that soon before it's too late.

For the meantime I'm going to sleep muna.

what a busy busy weekend

Last Sunday was our church 25th anniversary. I was supposed to post pictures in facebook but haven't started uploading them until now. I was tired, who wouldn't be? just look at what I did last weekend.

Thursday night - worked overtime till 1:30 in the morning, in fairness I enjoyed Direk Bert's party, saw some celebrities and lots of singers too.

Friday - I didn't come to office na because had lots of church stuff to finish pa, went to divisoria to pick up the souvenir fans, which we all loved! and bought loot bag items for the sunday schoolers. we got home at around 6 pm and then got my self ready for a debut party, can't say no because the family is so dear to us. we stayed till 3 am yata.

Saturday -Whole day work, I did the program, coordinated with the presentors, attended worship team practice, went to the new venue after the practice.made some baloon decorations.went to bed finally at around 1 AM.

Sunday- woke up at 5:30 AM, went to pasay to buy flowers, arranged it and then went to annivesary venue for decorations. was ready for the worship service before 9Am. whew! the celebration lasted till 3PM. after that I went straight to my sis house for my rachelle's 6th birthday party. Take note ; was the emcee at the church and was the emcee at the party too.

Tired is understatement but was I happy? yes! because it's what I love to do.

Dreaming

I am dreaming right now, dreaming of being in a cruise and mind you not just an ordinary cruise but a Christian cruise. Yes, there is such a thing and I how I hope someday I’ll be living my dreams. Well, who knows? In God there is nothing impossible.

For now, I’ll just be dreaming of seeing the lands where Apostle Paul walked and shared the gospel. For now, I will just be dreaming of visiting Ephesus, the exact place where Paul taught the gospel. For now, I’ll just be dreaming that I am having some chats with other Christians in the world, talking about how great the Lord is.

It is indeed a dream to be part of those Bible cruises or Christian cruises. Touching the very land that I only read in my bible, being in the place where God first showed His great love for us. I’m sure every believer dreams of it too. And I’m sharing this dream with my husband.

And that reminds me that we have yet to secure our passports. Our Pastor has been nagging us for months to get one and I know he is right, if we are about to do worldwide missions then it is the first step. Right now we are still praying for the country where God will send us and enjoying the time of learning and training we are having here for the meantime.

It's good to be back!

Hi everyone!

It’s been ages since my last post. I was sick and busy and really had no time to update so sorry.

Anyways, It feels good to be back, hopefully, will be able to do bloghops this week and will do the tags too.

I have so many stories to post and so many pictures too. Our church and the fishnets ministry had many activities in the past month and I will post them here one by one.

So for me not to get lost of what to post, here’s the list and will serve as my reminder;

YOUTH CAMP.
Last week hubby went to youth camp for two days and he went home with so many stories and pictures too.

GOODBYE BECKY AND BOFF.
Yesterday, boff and becky, the couple missionary who arrive here last month left yesterday and boy it was such a painful goodbye. They are such a lovely couple. A blessing indeed to our church.

BATANG PAGASA CLEANSING DAY.
It was last May 10, and there were like less than 200 kids served. Very tiring but it’s so nice to see kids with their new haircut and tootbrush and all. This is where we bathe them, teach them proper hygiene and give them some food too.

That’s gonna be for the meantime. I know I still owe a lot of bloggers a visit to their site and of course had to do links pa.

Have a nice week ahead everyone and don’t forget to thank God everyday!!

closer

4 more days and it’s April already. How time flies.

Last January, I had a talk with my hubby that this year I will not handle any ministries because I wanted to work on my personal relationship with the Lord. I mean not work but I wanted to have a more intimate relationship with Him..that whatever my hands finds to do it would only be the outcome of that relationship.

So for months now, I have not been going to any ministry area, never had a teaching session with kids.

But now, am working with a “film showing” that would benefit the scholars of “Fishnets” ministry.

I am also currently working for our anniversary souvenir program and that would also benefit the fishnets ministry.

But still I feel I have not grown closer to my Lord…

FISHNETS

Last year..around this time, our small group from the church (young professionals) gathered at Jomer’s place..discussing about a certain project we want to make…

And after several meetings..I remember KFC Buendia corner Pasong Tamo..It was such a very late meeting..it is where we finally coined the name
"Fishnets" - help them help themselves –as the name of the project.

It’s main purpose is to assist on educational needs of the poor family members of our church, those kids whose parents cannot afford to send them to school.

And again, after a lot of headaches and meetings and deliberation and decision making among the group and among the leaders of the church..I never thought that implementing would be that hard..I thik it is a lot easier to raise some funds rather than deliberate and approve of scholarships.

Well..past forward to one year…

Three of our scholars are graduating in High School this March…all of them girls..and our only gal will also end his special course (graphic designing) this January.

I know this wouldn’t be possible without the help of our church, our very few chosen sponsors..and of course without the LORD..who approved and who sustains this ministry…

Now…here’s the good news, our church is planning to adopt the ministry, and it will only not be an educational assistance, but it will also handle feeding ministries, livelihood projects and medical / dental missons ..It will acter to the Urban poor communities around Metro Manila..which the church has been doing naman na for years..I guess they would like it to be more organized lang yata..

I’m happy and excited…and yeah I look forward to it…naisip ko lang..I begged off from all the ministries that are being assign to me this year except this one..sabi ko sa kanila I have to hear from the Lord..and I guess I’m hearing from HIM now…
