My childhood bestfriend

We came home to province last weekend to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday, it was a breather for me, to be able to eat the food that I miss, spent time with the family and see old friends. And speaking of old friends, my childhood best friend who is our neighbor still lives there. You can call us friends since birth and we have loads of happy memories as kids and teen agers.

This kind of friendship lasts forever even if we are miles apart. She is a friend whom I can always come home to.

Weddings :)

Just before the year ends, there were talks and pictures of engagement rings at my facebook and instagram pages. Two famous celebrities got engaged and a friend (ex-girlfirend of my brother in law) is also now engaged :) Which somehow made me feel sad because I so like her and I was hoping that someday soon she will reconcile with the brother in law. But of course on the other hand, I was happy too because engagements and weddings are happy occasions and it always excites me.

Made me think of my own wedding and my own engagement ring :)

They were here for Christmas vacation and we spent a lot of time together and now that they're back in US, I'm missing them a lot specially the kids :) It will take 3 long years before we get to see them again, by then this cute little girl will be 7 and that super energetic boy will the be 5.

I hope time fly so fast (as we always say) 'till it's time for us to see them again.

That's what I've been telling my self this morning after some ugly thoughts crept into my mind and slowly making me mad and sad.
But I refuse to give in so I've been repeating this over and over again

I have also been  telling my self that friendship and good relationship are more important than money. And that the small sacrifices you are doing for the sake of friendship is nothing because you have to value people more than material things.

But along with the recent happenings I am also resolved not to involve money anymore so as not to mess things up.

Guitars in Cebu

These pictures were taken on our last trip to Cebu City, we were scouting for souvenirs and some pasalubong after our visit to Magellan's cross when my husband and his bandmates saw the many stalls selling small and big guitars, they politely asked if they can try them and when the man said yes, here's what they did;

They thoroughly enjoyed it and played an entire song, the man in the brown shirt is the drummer so that explains why he's not holding any guitar, maybe he wanted Zildjian Drums right there and then to complete the set up but he sang with them instead.

I can very well say they really had fun with those cute guitars :)

LIAH JANE

Liah as we fondly call her is a friend's daughter and my husband and I love her so much!

She is such a sweety :) Look at how she is growing so fast and beautiful!! She was only days old on the first picture and now our future ramp model! (look at the last picture) We miss her though as she lives in America :( and we don't see her often but thanks to skype and internet (aside from facebooking,playing online games and checking term life insurance rate) we still got to talk to her once in a while. :)And oh, you should hear her speak, she's smart and pretty and sings well.

We miss you Liah!! Can't wait to carry and hug you again :)

Blue and beautiful

I can no longer count the many times I wished that I live near the beach so I can have this peaceful and calming view everytime I am confused and rattled and most when  life is chaotic.

 

Oh how I love the rich blue color of the sea :)

and it's more fun when you are accompanied by friends

I am grateful though that once in a while I am given the chance to enjoy this beauty :) What a wonderful weekend we had!

Friend. Work. Thoughts

A dear friend just posted her farewell party from her office meaning she finally made it. We have been talking about her leaving the job where she enjoyed maybe a hefty paycheck, some free travel opportunities (she even went to as far as Paris) and good friends behind. And I can only imagine how hard it is to leave a job and then start anew.

And I pity my self for not being as tough as her.

I worry about not having the security of a monthly income.

I worry of not having a job and not having something to do also.

I worry of new challenges just in case I get a new job.

Sigh.. I am such a worrier.

But I will overcome all those worries someday soon I know. I'm stepping  forward one at a time.

Anyways, if you do have an impressive medical resume I guess you need not worry about not getting a job. Or if you are confident of your work experiences and you have that educational background and you are young and free..Go get that job that suits you.

I’m getting mine the soonest possible time I can.
