And we're finally open!

Our store that is...

Last Monday, we opened our first small food store. First because we are thinking and dreaming big :) we are hoping to open another one in another area well, maybe right after we get back the money we invested here.

It feels good that finally after months of preparation, we are now open and even if there are birth pains, of course it's not all smooth and easy-still, it's a relief that we are now operational..naks!

Anyways, sales is not that good and not that bad either for a start. BUT we are positive it will pick up and eventually we will have our own loyal customers soon :)

Praying that this small side business (our TOYBOX and BUSOG KA DITO) will earn good someday.

Online marketing. Edit google profile

I’m selling these cute slippers for extra income. Aren’t they nice? I sell them for only 50.00 (approximately more than $1 ) For now I sell them to friends and to office mates but I’m thinking of selling them online too. BUT the big question is, do I have enough time to manage that?

Selling online seems to be easy but it takes a lot of your time also, a friend of mine who sells clothes online (and is now her main source of income) invested a great deal of time and effort to become an established online seller. Online marketing is trending and is big today but just like any undertaking you should not take it for granted. I believe that if you want to be successful in this kind of business marketing you should give your one hundred percent and must be very determined to make it. Learning to edit google profile, taking pictures of your items, putting them up online and costing is quite not easy as some people think.

I have tried online selling and marketing once, if you remember the lamps I posted here also, they are very saleable because they are nice and affordable but it did not last for long mainly because the lack of time to manage it. Actually, we received plenty of inquiries during the first few months that it was up online but since my husband and I are both working we weren’t able to really give enough time to it. We gave up on it eventually.

So now, I’ve learned my lesson, before I really make those cute slippers online, I’ll make sure I have the time, the knowledge and the determination to really make it big on the world wide web, competition is also tough out there and for people to notice your products you really have to stand out.

For the meantime, I’ll just make extra effort to sell it to friends and people we know, the extra income (even how small it is) is still an income and can help us in our financial needs. If I decide to sell further for sure I’m going to post it here.

*This is a sponsored post however, all the points and views are my own.*

Declaration T-shirts

My husband and I are working in our new cheap custom t-shirts designs. I chose the font and the wordings for it, though it looks very simple the words are are very powerful. Like "victorious",  "conqueror" and other positive words that I diligently search. I believe in the power of declaration thus we are making declaration t-shirts to sell.

We are trying to save as much as we can for our big project next year. I hope we can earn extra through this. I'm sure friends will love it (as the always do whenever we sell t-shirts) but I do hope we can sell to others too.

If ever you are to buy a declaration t-shirt, what is the one word that you would like to be printed in your shirt? can you give me suggestions?

What to franchise?

After our ministry meeting last Sunday night, my friend and I were able to talk and discuss again about food business. Early this year, we made a plan of opening a small food/coffee shop together with our friends but we later realized that it will cost us a lot even if we purchase used restaurant equipment and other second hand stuff. Plus we can't find the best location for the stall.

Now, months later, we are having thoughts again but thinking if franchising would be best for us. If we franchise, it will cost us less and the fact that there will be support from the company where we bought it is a big factor. And most of the franchising company now offer to help you find the best location. But what to franchise is our next big question. There are loads out there and we heard most of them are earning.

I just wish this will materialize next year. Investing in a small business has been our long time dream and making it big and then finally giving up our day jobs to focus on that business.

But now, the question remains..what to franchise?

I don’t know when or where I’ll be needing such knowing that we just started our small home based business (the lampshades) but just in case we will be required to have one someday (which I hope soon) I have bookmarked this site where there is a very wide range of impact receipt printers.

I’m wishing our sales will go higher these coming months as we are planning to join a lot of upcoming bazaar. Wish us the best please:)

Small Business for the Summer

Summer is here! And so is the rain, it’s been raining since Saturday and it is the first month of summer, normally on this month temperature goes up and it can become really hot and dry and warm as 35 degrees. Weather forecasters said it will be a wet summer which would likely be my first ever wet summer. But honestly I’m in doubt, there would be rains maybe but I think it would still be a fiery hot summer for us. Who would enjoy a wet summer anyway?

Anyways, because summer is here we were discussing with some friends and youth at our church some possible small business for the season, we were thinking of ways to raise fund for the upcoming youth camp and I suggested since it’s summer already and school is ending soon, why not sell something outside the church? Ours was a bust street especially now that there is manpower agency beside the church. What to sell? Well, we’ve come up with many ideas, first thing in our mind is the halo-halo (for non Filipino readers-this is mixed sweetened fruits with crushed iced and evaporated milk). This is a big hit every summer and for sure they’ll sell because it’s hot and people want something cold, another idea is fruit shake but they would need a blender for that. Whatever they choose, I just hope it sells and that they would be able to generate profits and funds for their youth camp.

It helped also that yesterday hubby taught of hanging and putting outside the t-shirts we were selling and he was able to sell more than 10 t-shirts! It made me think of a real t-shirt selling business complete with a shop of our own equipped with an easy to use credit card machines with employees and all. Talk about day dreaming. Who knows? Hubby is still doing a lot of t-shirt designs and most of his designs are being loved naman, or maybe they’re just our friends and churchmates :)

Still, I know we will have a real business in this lifetime. When?
Soon.

Food business

I saw a house for rent that is very near to where we live now, It's a good venue to have a store, I'm actually thinking of selling cook foods. I inquired and the rent is at 12,500 monthly so I have to think it over if it's worth it. I always dream of having my own small business someday and I don't and will never give up on that dream. I know I don't have enough money yet but I could always avail of a Business Loans from the many banks that offer such. I just have to present a good business plan. My cousin and I are also thinking of putting up a preschool in front of their house, we are considering of an internet cafe too. I have never tried acquiring Business loan before but I heard from a friend that it is not hard as I thought it was.

ezunsecured.com offers loans also, they're big help to someone who is looking for additional capital for their existing business and according to the site it is hassle free, they don't even ask for documents when you avail of $200,000 +. And this is what caught my attention too you can even apply Business Loan without submitting any business plan at all. Sigh. I wish banks here would offer the same service too.

stay at home mom

Most of the mommies now a day prefer to stay at home to be able to take care of their kids personally, I even know some of those who have good and high paying job, a good career as we can call it but gave up for the sake of thier children. I admire them, really because woman likes to be independent and of course we all want to have our own savings account right?

I don't have kids yet but I also plan of being a stay at home mom someday, and right now I am equipping myself of the possibilities when it is time.

Now, these women I know have some online income and online business, some do paid blogging like everyone else and others sell online. And that is what I plan to do as well. For those who sell or do trading you might want to have a shopping cart software that is so easy to use. Visit their site and see for your self. This ecommerce software will help you with your online business and enjoy it at the same time. You can even customize it.

And I thought
shopping cart can only be found in grocery stores.

ang aga-aga..I'm so stressed..no, not about fishnets but about sa squidballs carts, target kasi namin makapag start ng June 13, eh June 15 na nasa Center pa rin lahat ng carts at mga gamit...yung isa nasa bulacan pa..at yung isa nasa Antipolo pa yata..

parang gusto ko na yata magsisi...kaso lang nandito na eh..lahat naman kami naghihirap dito, saka iniisip ko na lang makakatulong ito sa mga pagtitindahin namin and of course sa mga scholars din.

I knew where we went wrong..pero no more time for blaming..ganito talaga pag nag start ng business even how small..may mga problema at hardships na kasama, I just hope these would make su tougher and wiser next time.

Michelle has more stress' than ours nga..kasi sha nakipag coordinate dun sa pagpapa-gawa ng carts..

I just hope and pray we could start on MOnday na talaga.
